Annie Porter was born May 28, 1916 to the late Luvenia and Willie Swanson in Roba, Alabama. At an
early age she accepted Christ.
While still in Alabama, she married Clinton Pace. She had two daughters, Mary who preceded her in
death and Velma.
In 1942 she moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she later met and married William Porter. To this union
there are two sons, Earl who preceded her in death and William.
She was a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church until 1957. At that time she joined Cleveland

There she organized the first Senior Usher Board. After a short time Elder Bookman was called home
from labor and Elder James R.Haughton Sr. became pastor.

From:Velma and William Darryl-Mom you have been our inspiration, our motivation and our conscience.
Our lives were enriched because of your presence. By example you taught us faith in the Lord and
that prayer can change things. Your memory for us is a keepsake. Your love, you humor and your
smiles are beautiful memories you left behind. We'll leave your care to His grace.
From:Annie's Grandchildren- Although you were Grandmother, you were also Mom. No words can express
how much we will miss you. Heaven is richer because of your presence. Your legacy will continue with
us.
